The managerial position in a problem area must be filled again. It’s about seizing the opportunity to solve the biggest (often also personnel) problems in the opening time window of three to six months. If this opportunity is missed, optimal starting conditions are not created for the new manager. The scarce time requires a quick, comprehensive diagnosis and then a precise intervention – trying around is out of the question.

Results and insights
The new manager starts with no legacy issues. Experience shows that without decisive intervention, contaminated sites are usually carried on for several years. Hire new managers to advance your company and not to do “clean-up work”, because an experienced “corporate surgeon” like me can clearly do that better.
